Diverse Roots, Unifying Beats

Founded by Aaron Dethrage and G Slab, SixOneTribe stands as a testament to the core value of diversity. In a 2022 interview, Aaron, a Belmont University alumnus, expressed the collective's commitment to capturing Nashville's authentic Hip-Hop vibe. He debunked the oversimplified notion attached to the city, often limited to its Country Music Capital label.

G Slab, a co-founder and East Nashville native, dismantled stereotypes, recounting Nashville's historical music roots. He highlighted that the city earned its "Music City" moniker not solely for country music but also through the influence of the Fisk Jubilee Singers, an a cappella ensemble of African American students from the University.
