Classic Williams: Nashville's Rising Star - An Interview with Mobile Melody Podcast


Ask around Nashville about the indisputable talent of Classic Williams, and the response is sure to be elaborate! Born and raised in Music City, Williams developed his knack for performing at a young age, gracing the stage of many talent shows across Middle Tennessee.

In 2010, Classic released his first mixtape titled "#IHateClassic." Over the next three years, he followed up with three more mixtapes, showcasing his evolving artistry. Williams achieved a significant milestone with his debut album, "Epic Win," released on iTunes in 2013. The album received notable success, including radio play in international markets and a feature of his single "The Fall" on Chris Brown's "Mechanical Dummy" blog.


Beyond his solo ventures, Classic Williams is also a member of the "Fake Rap Band" called "Hot Club Tub," led by Brandon Jazz. As part of this collective, he has had the pleasure of opening up for renowned artists such as Chingy and Nappy Roots. Additionally, Classic has performed at acclaimed Nashville venues like Mercy Lounge, 12th & Porter, and The Basement, collaborating with local acts such as Jung Youth and Alocodaman.


But wait, there's more! Classic Williams is also 1/2 of the R&B duo called "Unpopular Demand" alongside his group mate, R&B artist turned producer, Herschel Lamont. In 2017, they released a single titled "No L's," which caught the attention of LA Blogs.

While rooted in The Music City, Classic chose Los Angeles as the location to shoot his popular single, "Repeat Sushi." The music video features former Adult Film star Ron Jeremy and Bunny Ranch Courtesan, Kiteh Kawasaki, adding a unique touch to his creative vision.


Classic Williams draws inspiration from renowned artists such as Big Sean, Pharrell, and Kanye West, and his talent has garnered the support of influential figures like Oprah Winfrey. The billionaire and former daytime talk show host serves as a close family friend and mentor, encouraging Williams to never stop pursuing his dreams.
